Privacy Policy for Sirius Note

Sirius Note (“the App”) is developed by Mina Zhang (“we”, “us”). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information.

Summary

Sirius Note does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your personal data. The App has no servers, no user accounts, and does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies of any kind. All of your notes, photos, and voice recordings are stored locally on your device.

Permissions We Use

  • Microphone — Used only when you choose to record a voice note. The recording is saved locally on your device and is never transmitted anywhere by the App.
  • Speech Recognition — Used only when you tap “Transcribe” on a voice note, to convert your recording into text. This feature uses Apple’s built-in Speech Recognition framework. Depending on your device and language, this may process audio on-device or send it to Apple’s servers for recognition, governed by Apple’s own privacy policy. We do not have access to this audio or its transcription beyond what is saved in your note.
  • Face ID / Touch ID — Used only if you turn on “App Lock” in Settings, to verify your identity before opening the App. Authentication is handled entirely by iOS; Sirius Note never accesses, processes, or stores your biometric data.
  • Photo Library — When you add a photo to a note, the App uses the system photo picker, which only gives the App access to the specific photo you select. We do not have access to your full photo library.

Data Storage

All notebooks, notes, photos, and voice recordings you create are stored locally in the App’s private storage on your device. We do not have access to this data, and it is not uploaded to any cloud service by the App.

Backup & Export

Sirius Note lets you export your notebooks to a JSON file, and import a previously exported file. These actions are entirely user-initiated: you choose where the exported file is saved (e.g., Files app, AirDrop, Messages) using the system share sheet. We do not receive a copy of this data.

Third-Party Services

Sirius Note does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics, advertising networks, or crash-reporting tools.

Data Deletion

You can delete individual notes, notebooks, or empty the in-app Recycle Bin at any time. Deleting the App from your device permanently removes all locally stored data.

Children’s Privacy

Because Sirius Note does not collect any personal data from any user, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
